Roteq Australia are currently looking for a Fitter Rotating Equipment to join our team at our Bibra Lake WA workshop. As a Roteq Fitter, you will work parallel with our existing team, reporting to the Operations / Workshop Manager.
Roteq Australia provides trusted independent, responsive, accessible and flexible turbomachinery services to many industries and clients Australia wide and beyond.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Mechanical disassembly, inspection, and re-assembly of turbo machinery and centrifuges.
- Cleaning and preparing of machine parts for inspection and re-assembly
- Turning and milling as required
- Overview outsourced repairs
- Pick-up and delivery of jobs to and from suppliers and sub-contractors in the Perth area
- Packing and unpacking of jobs and deliveries
- Labelling of jobs and arranging transport
- Prep and painting of outgoing jobs
- General workshop duties
- Use of forklift competently
- Inspect and tag rigging equipment
- Dynamic in-house balancing
- Inventory of field service tooling and preparing of field service tooling for site jobs
- Maintaining a high standard of work, with attention to detail and following processes to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Trade as Fitter/ Fitter-Machinist / Diesel Mechanic/ Motor Mechanic
- Experience working in a workshop environment
- Previous exposure in a similar industry desirable
- Willingness to support ad-hoc duties and project work
- A strong focus on safety
- A positive attitude with a committed and loyal work ethic
- The ability of working independently without supervision
The following is desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate:
- Rigging & Dogging
- MR Truck driving license
- Forklift license
- White card
