Mechanical Technician / Fitter
Roteq Australia is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician / Fitter to join our Field Service team in Bibra Lake, Western Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-speed rotating equipment and turbomachinery, providing field service, maintenance, repairs, commissioning and equipment upgrades.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- In-field servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis
- Preventive maintenance of industrial and diesel-powered equipment
- Building, repairing, commissioning and upgrading high-speed rotating equipment
- Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of turbomachinery
- Hydraulic and pneumatic pipework installation
- Precision measuring, fabrication and fitting of components
- On-site equipment erection, overhaul and mechanical repairs
- Supporting safe, efficient and high-quality operations
Experience & Qualification
We are looking for someone who has:
- Valid Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
- Construction White Card
- Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
- Dogging and Basic Rigging tickets
- EWP ticket (desirable)
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A flexible, reliable and professional attitude
- Willingness to work after-hours/weekends and travel or spend time away from home when required
